Last June 17, champagne lovers around the world came together for the 2nd edition of Moët Party Day. 80 countries around the world participated, using the hashtag #MoetMoment to document the 24-hour celebration. Participants were able to view the official timeline of the happenings around the globe with a map on www.moet.com/moetpartyday.
Festivities began at Christchurch, New Zealand, where bottles of Mini Moët were passed around till the wee hours of the morning. Right above, drinkers at Sydney, Australia was consuming Moët & Chandon Vintage 2008 in a rooftop party with live music entitled Moët Sunset Acoustic Session.
Moët Ice Imperial Parties were held at Lagos, Nigeria. While in Amsterdam, there was a Moët Iceland venue specially constructed just for the party. Moët Ice Imperial and Moët Ice Imperial Rose was the preferred bubbly in numerous countries. There was a champagne brunch in Hong Kong and exclusive VIP celebrations in Shanghai, China serving the Moët favourite. At Busan, Korea there was a yacht party.
Celebrations in other parts of Asia were in full swing. There were numerous hotel takeovers in Mumbai, India. Down East, champagne was being served at a White Brunch in Tokyo, Japan.
The United States, Israel, and Bangkok joined in the toast. Secret parties at iconic venues re-named Maison Moët were put together in Berlin, Paris, Rome, Milan, Vienna and Mexico. While Chelsea in London kept it simple with a Moët Ice Imperial Champagne truck on the streets. Clubs in Nigeria and South Africa followed suit with red carpets for their VIPs during the momentous occasion.
