As Les Misérables approaches its milestone 40th anniversary at London’s Sondheim Theatre, The World Tour Spectacular offers a breathtaking reimagining of the legendary musical phenomenon that has captivated more than 130 million people worldwide. Taking inspiration from the novel of the same name by French writer Victor Hugo, Cameron Mackintosh’s production of the World Tour Spectacular is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, with music by Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, additional material by James Fenton, and adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird.
