What To Expect From Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027

By

Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 arrives with a reshuffled calendar and new creative directors taking their first steps at major houses.

Milan opens its Spring/Summer 2027 season this week. The city is set to arrive with its usual authority intact, even as several of its biggest names sit this round out. The week runs from Tuesday (September 22, 2026) through Monday (September 28, 2026), positioning Milan as the next stop after New York and London in the international runway calendar. What makes this Milan Fashion Week edition worth watching revolves around succession— with yet another round of creative directors trading seats like musical chairs—as a handful of houses use the season to test who they’re becoming.

What’s On The Agenda For Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027?

Prada opens Milan Fashion Week on Tuesday, a departure from its usual Thursday slot that has reshuffled the traditional order of the calendar. The full schedule spans 60 shows, 54 staged in person and six presented digitally. Tuesday also brings the debut of Vogue World Milano, structured around the theme The Human Touch in the Age of Technology. The pairing feels apt for a season where craftsmanship and technology keep circling each other without necessarily settling into agreement.

Versace, Emporio Armani, and BOSS have all stepped off the schedule. Pieter Mulier, who took the helm at Versace on July 1 of this year, will hold his runway debut until Fall 2027 instead. Dario Vitale’s introduction at Emporio Armani waits as well, with the house opting to mark the season through a presentation rather than a full runway show.

The Creative Directors’ Shuffle

This Milan Fashion Week, Moschino welcomes Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo, formerly of Sunnei, who step in for Adrian Appiolaza and present their first collection for the house this week. Diesel closes a chapter of its own, with Tuesday’s show standing as Glenn Martens’ final outing as creative director before his departure. Demna’s Gucci follows a debut that reset expectations for what the house might say next. The Attico marks 10 years with an evening runway slot, a milestone that puts a decade of the label’s particular romanticism on full display.

Marques’Almeida and Miguel Vieira make their first appearances on Milan’s official calendar, both Portuguese labels stepping onto one of fashion’s most established stages for the first time. Banke Kuku closes the week with a digital presentation on Sunday.

Giorgio Armani, as always, delivers the week’s final word on Sunday, a closing statement from a house that has spent decades defining what Milanese restraint looks like. Wedged between that opening reshuffle and familiar finale is a week built on both patience and ambition.
