Tony Awards 2022: 12 Dramatic Looks From the Red Carpet

By

Newly crowned EGOT title-holder Jennifer Hudson wore Pamella Roland, along with three other famous guests.

While Broadway is all about drama, it’s no surprise that the 2022 Tony Awards guestlist arrived strikingly.

Notably, American fashion designers Pamella Roland and Tom Ford served as red carpet favorites. In all-black looks drenched in crystals and sequins, veteran actress Julie White, Leslie Bibb, Julianne Hough, and newly crowned EGOT title-holder Jennifer Hudson wore pieces by Roland.

While for the men, former Tony award winners Andrew Garfield and Hugh Jackman suited up in Tom Ford. Garfield looked sleek in a velvet double-breasted cocktail jacket. Meanwhile, Jackman kept things classic in a tuxedo, detailed with the house’s gold and onyx stud and cufflink set.

Of course, Jessica Chastain, the face of Gucci’s new Hortus Deliciarum High Jewelry collection, wore the Italian fashion house. Like the ombre, ruffle-hemmed Gucci gown she wore at this year’s Oscars, the 45-year-old opted for another pink ensemble.

Paired with dangling diamond earrings, the A-lister once again channeled Jessica Rabbit in a plunging corset-style bustier. Other fashion highlights include those who opted to wear chalk-white, which made the clothes’ silhouette do all the talking.

English actress Cynthia Erivo wore a white goddess-exuding Giambattista Valli piece, and Broadway theater performer Jeremy Pope wore a Louis Vuitton suit with relaxed tailoring (from Virgil Abloh’s last collection with the house).

Below are more style highlights from this year’s Tony Awards in Radio City Music Hall.
