Surely enough, she has achieved just that with The Jennifer Hudson Show, which premiered on September 12.

“I’ve been every character and sang every song. Now, I simply just get to be me, you know? I wanna talk to somebody. I’m so intrigued in meeting people, hearing their stories and their passions,” Hudson told Reuters.

The multihyphenate star will invite celebrities, community leaders, social media sensations, and more to guest on her show.

“It’s a place where anyone can come… Someone once gave me a platform, so I wanna do the same. I see talented people every day and it doesn’t always mean singing and performing, but I like to help people find these super powers,” Hudson said.

Hudson serves as an executive producer of her show. Former The Ellen DeGeneres Show executive producers Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner, and Corey Palent join her.

Moreover, the talk show is set at the same Warner Bros. studio and lot as Ellen.
