The orchestra has kept in tune for nearly a century.
The Manila Symphony Orchestra will mark its 97th anniversary of performing for audiences with a live concert.

“Opera Gala 2023: The MSO 97th Anniversary Concert” will take place at Circuit Makati’s Samsung Performing Arts Theater.
The show will start at 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 22.
“As the MSO looks back at its past and pays homage to its very first live performance at the Manila Grand Opera House, it has gathered four of the most respected and talented Opera singers in the Philippines today, to perform Italian arias that will take you through the different periods and techniques of opera—from Bel Canto to Verismo. Enjoy a medley of classic opera from The Barber of Seville, La Triaviata, Tosca, Turandot, and many more,” the orchestra invites.
The group will play masterpieces by Verdi, Puccini, Bellini, and Mozart.
Furthermore, it will perform opera classics with the Philippine Vocal Ensemble.
