The youngest people in the list, Clemente Del Vecchio and Kim Jung-youn, haven’t even reached their 20s yet. Both of their successful fathers, Leonardo Del Vecchio and Kim Jung-ju, passed away in 2022.
As a result, both teenagers and their siblings have been left with a stake in their fathers’ companies.
The Del Vecchios
Leonardo Del Vecchio was Italy’s second-richest person when he died, leaving behind his wealth to his widow Nicoletta Zampillo, six children, and one stepchild.
His only child with Zampillo, Leonardo Maria (27), currently heads strategy for Luxottica (owner of Sunglass Hut, Ray-Ban, and Oakley).
Luca (21), one of his two children with Sabrina Grossi, was a former board member. Clemente (19) is not known to have a role in his father’s company at the moment. All three have a net worth of $3.5 billion each.
The Kims
Meanwhile, very little is known about Kim Jung-youn and her older sister Kim Jung-min, even their precise ages. Their father co-founded the Japanese-Korean video game publisher Nexon, known for titles such as MapleStory, Dungeon & Fighter, and KartRider.
His investment firm NXC is also the company’s largest shareholder. When the sisters inherited his fortune, they both received a 15% stake in the company, bringing up their net worth to $1.7 billion each.
The Andresens
Sisters Katharina (28) and Alexandra (26) Andresen, each with a net worth of $1.5 billion, are sixth-generation owners of investment firm Ferd.
Each of them own a 42% stake in the company but Katharina currently works as a sustainability officer at an Oslo-based construction firm while Alexandra is a three-time junior Norwegian champion in dressage riding.
Alexandra was the world’s youngest billionaire in 2016 at the age of 19 and held the title for three consecutive years until she was displaced by Kylie Jenner.
Youngest self-made billionaires
The self-made billionaires in the list include Ryan Breslow (28) and Wang Zelong (26). Breslow has founded three startups since he dropped out of Stanford: Bolt, Eco, and Love. He currently has a net worth of $1.1 billion
Meanwhile, Wang is the youngest billionaire in Asia. With a net worth of $1.4 billion, his fortune comes from his stakes in CNNC Hua Yuan Titanium Dioxide Co., a pigment production company.
