From wine worth $195,000 to $50,000 luxury accommodations, the 2024 Golden Globes spared no expense for its gift bags, which cost $500,000 each.
When it comes to the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, it’s not entirely surprising to find that many award shows like the Oscars, Grammys, and Emmys, give valuable tokens worth thousands of dollars to their winners and presenters annually. However, the 2024 Golden Globes is setting an entirely new standard this year, as it announced that it would be distributing gift bags worth $500,000 each. At half a million dollars, these may be the most expensive tokens an award show has ever given to its guests. Hollywood Reporter’s Chris Gardner confirms this, writing that the publication cannot find gift bags from previous award shows with a price tag as high as those of the 81st Golden Globes.

In its official press statement, the prestigious award show revealed that it would be collaborating with luxury publication Robb Report to create “The Ultimate Gift Box.” The two organizations have carefully curated over 35 premium items and experiences in a comprehensive book, so recipients may choose the tokens they like best. Though the entire list is not available, the select few that the Golden Globes did reveal are indeed lavish, to say the least.
While all 83 winners and presenters will be receiving the amazing gift bag, some will have access to certain exclusive gifts. That said, what awaits most recipients is still quite impressive.
Not Your Average Gifts
Every other gift bag out there might seem lackluster when people compare them to this year’s Golden Globes package. One lucky guest will receive six bottles of Liber Pater—the world’s most expensive wine—which total $193,500. Meanwhile, three recipients will get a chance to score a bottle of Komos Tequila’s “Komos XO,” which costs $2,000. The other guests won’t be missing out, as everyone will be receiving an Essential Collection of Gold Ossetra (worth $545), Distillerie de Monaco’s “Limited Edition Edon Roc Gin” (which costs $275), and a Bottle of Komos Tequila (at $499).
This, of course, is only a fraction of the surprises that await guests. Other jaw-dropping giveaways include $69,000 Colombian Emerald Earrings from Coomi x Muzo (for one recipient), and thousands of dollars worth of beauty products, apparel, and accessories. These include a $2,450 Marrakech Brown Suede Bag from Metier and a $1,250 Skincare Essentials kit from Joanna Czech, just to name a few. Other beauty products from brands like Le Domaine, CurrentBody, Byroe, 111SKIN, La Prairie, and Perfumehead.
A Roster Of Luxe Travel Experiences
Perhaps the most alluring part of the gift bags are the opulent experiences they offer. These include stays at luxury accommodations, indulgent beauty treatments, exciting dining experiences, and one-of-a-kind recreational opportunities.
For travel, all 83 winners get a two-night stay in France’s Abbaye de la Bussiere ($2,200); a five-day luxury yacht charter in Indonesia (worth a whopping $50,000); a full luxury experience at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and Naviva ($15,000); a two-night all-inclusive stay at Hotel Wailea, Relais & Châteaux ($5,500); two-night stay in Ireland’s Liss Ard Estate ($2,200); a five-day all-inclusive luxury experience (with transportation and a yacht) in The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman (worth $20,000); and a one-year private social club membership worth $3,000 at The Britely, Pendry West Hollywood.
If you felt that you read this wrong, you didn’t: these are the prizes for all Golden Globes recipients. There’s a lot more for a select few, including stays at more prestigious hotels and $10,000 of flight credits.
More Inimitable Gift Packages
Fashion and beauty experiences include a $1,500 Rossano Ferretti Hair Spa Treatment and Blowout, a $14,000 watch manufacture experience at Zenith, a $2,500 tattoo session with a celebrity tattoo artist at Atelier Eva, and a $600 bespoke facial and body treatment at Biologique Spa.
Epicurious recipients also have a chance to get a private class with one of America’s greatest pizzaiolos (worth $7,000), and a full weekend experience for four guests at Robb Report’s “Culinary Masters” event with Michelin-starred greats (at $25,000).
When it comes to gift-giving, this year’s Golden Globes is certainly setting itself apart with extravagance.
