A cult retail concept store will auction one-off bags at ALT Philippines 2024.
Throughout history, art and fashion have often intertwined. This symbiotic relationship has likewise always been a part of the UNIVERS ethos: from displaying art objects and mounting immersive installations in their stores to commissioning local artists or supporting art fairs and initiatives.
For the third edition of ALT Philippines, a gathering of nine of the country’s reputable galleries, UNIVERS comes on board with custom pieces that uniquely bridge art and fashion. ALT Philippines and Univers invited six multi-disciplinary artists to transform Moreau Paris’ Saint Tropez totes. A brand symbolic of UNIVERS’ commitment to quality, excellence, and beauty. With roots dating back to the 1700s, Moreau Paris has perfected the craft of trunk making. Moreover, each bag is stamped with the contemporary French elegance it has become well-known for.

Who Are The Artists?
ALT gallerists selected the artists for their progressive, innovative, and socially relevant body of works. These six artists are Costantino Zicarelli, Jigger Cruz, Johanna Helmuth, Luis Antonio Santos, Raffy Napay, and Yeo Kaa. Furthermore, the bags will elevate from commercial luxury goods to rare and collectible functional art through treatments that include painting, sewing, printing, and laser etching.
ALT Philippines operates from the non-profit organization Contemporary Art Collective. Member galleries are Artinformal, Blanc, The Drawing Room, Finale Art File, Galleria Duemila, MO_Space, Underground, West Gallery, and Vinyl on Vinyl.
