The daughter of actress Ruffa Gutierrez and businessman Yilmaz Bektas recently acquired a new luxury car–which she bought in cash.
For Lorin Gutierrez Bektas, her 20s meant more than just entering adult life. She has also recently clinched a milestone for herself, and that is acquiring her very own luxury car.
Welcoming your 20s means bidding your teenage years goodbye and getting an early taste of adulthood. What better way to celebrate this than to be zooming into adulthood in a fancy yet high technology car?

Lorin’s Benz
The Los Angeles-based college student purchased a Mercedes-Benz GLA 250. It’s currently priced at $37,500 MSRP, or somewhere around $2.1 million.
The car is valued between P3.65 million to P3.75 million, or almost P4 million in the Philippines.
High-tech specifications and features
According to the website, this is the brand’s smallest SUV. The luxury car goes big on innovation while adhering to family values. The car sports a 221-horsepower turbo-4 engine, 8-speed, 18-inch wheels, and a digital cockpit with the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) voice assistant.
Externally, the GLA 250 has a heightened style with a wide-ranging appeal, complete with its high technology cabin, panorama roof, and aluminum roof rails.
The interiors are equipped with front seats with a three-position memory with a touch of a button. Both front seats also feature adjustable cushion length, for optimal thigh support and added comfort.
At the back, the seats fold down in a 40/20/40 split to expand the cargo capacity of your GLA in a variety of configurations. The center section can also be folded independently to fit long items between two rear passengers. The seatbacks can be locked in a more upright position to expand the cargo area while still seating three rear passengers.
Next-generation multimedia features
The GLA 250’s MBUX equips the car with voice control with natural language understanding. Using phrases like “I’m cold” can trigger MBUX to adjust the climate control. Due to its intelligent technology, it can learn new phrases over time and respond with more flexible and friendly language.
Also, with just two words, “Hey, Mercedes,” you can activate the car’s voice control functionality.
It also has the MBUX Interior Assistant, wherein an overhead camera lets MBUX respond to the driver’s and front passenger’s hand and arm movements. The display can highlight desired features like the passenger’s seat comfort settings by interacting with the console touchpad. Simple hand gestures can control this as well. Pointing forward with two fingers can pull up your MBUX personal favorites menu.
The GLA 250 also enables safety features such as the active brake assist, Mercedes-Benz’s emergency call service, attention assist, and provides the car with LED daytime running lamps.
Lorin’s manifestation
Bektas said the luxury car was on her vision board for the longest time, specifically a Benz like the GLA 250.
She said, “I didn’t think it would be possible to do it but with some hard work, prayer, manifestation and speaking things to existence, I got it done.”
Bektas encouraged her followers and said that goals are possible with dedication, hard work, prayers, and love.
