Ariana Grande Makes Long-Awaited Return To Music

The singer’s last music release was in 2020, more than three years ago.

The year is just beginning and we’ve already received news of one of the most highly anticipated comebacks in the music scene. On Sunday, January 7, Ariana Grande took to Instagram and posted a sneak peek into her upcoming release.

The photo only shows a blurry glimpse of the singer’s face, where she’s sporting a bold red lip. The caption reads “yes, and? ♡ 1.12,” the new project’s title and release date.

While she has been busy working on the film adaptation of Wicked, Billboard already reported that she would be returning to making her own music in 2024.

In another Instagram post dated December 27, 2023, she shared a couple of photos with producer Ilya Salmanzadeh and other creative collaborators with the caption “see you next year ♡.”

Grande’s last proper solo music release was Positions in 2020. The album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart. The title track was also the Billboard Hot 100 chart’s No. 1 single.

While taking a break from music, the singer has been focusing on her own beauty brand, R.E.M. Beauty, and her role as Glinda in Wicked.
