How Ryna Brito and Robbie Garcia’s travel-inspired romance culminated in a meaningful and intimate celebration that epitomized their shared love for the beach.
This is an excerpt from Lifestyle Asia’s August 2023 Issue.
Ryna Brito-Garcia and Robbie Garcia’s wedding was a true reflection of their shared passions, love for travel, and desire for an intimate celebration. Held in the picturesque Holy Land in Subic, the couple brought together elements of elegance, modern minimalism, and a deep connection to the ocean. With otherworldly decadence in mind, Ryna and Robbie crafted a wedding experience that was both enchanting and meaningful.

“We wanted a very meaningful and intimate wedding, where we gather all our closest friends and family, celebrate a day of love, and share a day of magic — good food, cocktails, music, happy tears, memories, and laughter,” Ryna shared with Lifestyle Asia. She added how almost everyone in the church cried while intently listening to the vows and speeches shared. Almost every guest was also at the afterparty. For Ryna, these things truly made the event special. “I think that’s how you know everyone who attended cared and loved the couple,” she added.
RIGHT ON TIME
“Our wedding day was perfect and magical,” Ryna said. “It was everything we imagined and more.” It was quite a rainy week prior to their wedding day, but with Robbie’s prayers, the first few drops only came after their champagne toast at the outdoor cocktail area. Exactly the time designated for everyone to move to the indoor venue.
But her favorite moment has to be seeing Robbie as she walked down the aisle. “I was already feeling very emotional, but when I saw him crying so much, I felt such overwhelming joy because finally, after everything we had been through, we were finally getting married.”
A LOVE FOR TRAVEL
Travel played a significant role in Ryna and Robbie’s relationship, and it was during a memorable trip to Fukuoka that Robbie proposed. Surrounded by the rich cultural heritage and delectable cuisine of Japan, Robbie chose this enchanting setting to express his love and commitment to Ryna. Their shared love for food, coffee, matcha, and exploration deepened their connection, making the proposal in Fukuoka a cherished memory for both of them.
“We just spent most of our time eating, walking, and drinking coffee,” the bride said. “We really enjoy eating and exploring good food together.” At the same time, Ryna admits that some of her best memories with Robbie are during time spent with just the two of them talking about feelings and life. “He is the one person I feel very comfortable sharing all my thoughts and emotions with,” she added.
For now, however, the honeymoon travel plans will have to wait a while due to their busy work schedules. What’s in the pipeline so far is a trip to Bali for a friend’s wedding and Australia where Ryna spent a few years studying. They eagerly anticipate exploring new restaurants in Sydney and reliving her cherished memories while immersing themselves in new experiences.
