The star of the upcoming Elvis biopic was recently shot by Julian Ungano, and was also wearing the Cartier Love Ring and a Juste un Clou bracelet.
Cartier just announce actor Austin Butler as the Maison’s newest Ambassador. With a storied 15-year career spanning television and film, Austin will next star as the titular character in the much-anticipated Baz Luhrmann directed movie Elvis.
“We are delighted to welcome Austin into the Maison as an Ambassador for North America,” says Arnaud Carrez, Cartier’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “As a talented actor, Austin’s bold approach to life and unique sense of style are inherently aligned with our core values here at Cartier.”
The actor was recently shot by Julian Ungano wearing the luxury fashion house’s Tank Must de Cartier watch, Juste un Clou bracelet, and its 18K Love Ring.
Butler will attend key Cartier special events, and wear the brand’s creations in select red carpets. This included the recent Cannes Film Festival, where Elvis got a 12-minute standing ovation. “I want everybody to love the film, obviously, but the pressure I have really felt is doing justice to Elvis,” the actor says in an interview with The New York Times.
Co-starring Tom Hanks, Elvis will make its world premiere this evening at the upcoming 75th edition of the festival, before making its debut across theaters on June 24, 2022.
Born in Anaheim, California, Butler is known for his roles in such shows and movies such as Switched at Birth, Ruby and the Rockits, The Carrie Diaries, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and The Shannara Chronicles. Outside of work, he was in a relationship with Vanessa Hudgens for nine years, and is currently dating Kaia Gerber.
