Music filled the air at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-la Hotel as the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines Inc. (FCCP), headed by president Rose Marie B. Lazaro and Yoli Ayson, director-in-charge of the annual ball, celebrated its 37th anniversary with a musical themed ball.
Dubbed “Magical Music” featured performances by the ladies and gentlemen of the FCCP who entertained the guests with a show stopping Broadway number. The highlight of the night was the special performance of international stage actress and chanteuse Christine Allado. Christine performed early this year with Maestro Andrea Bocelli at his sold out concert in Manila and has since joined him in CINEMA World Tour around Asia and Europe. She enthralled everyone with her astonishing performance at the FCCP Ball by singing timeless musical theatre songs, standards, OPM and classical pieces.
Proceeds from the evening’s event will go to the FCCP Scholarship Program. FCCP has championed the financial support of student artists in the different music conservatories and fine arts programs around Metro Manila.
