Art Detour 2: A Group Exhibition At León Gallery International

The exhibit is a project of DF Art Agency showcasing the works of Juan Carlo Calma, Tracie Anglo Dizon, Kim Lim, Whee, Ciane Xavier, and Jay Yao.

“The artists have returned to unleash their inner creativity through bold and innovative works of art,” says León Gallery in an Instagram post.

The exhibit will run until August 24, 2022 at León Gallery International.

According to the gallery’s website, they “first opened their doors in 2010, quickly gaining a reputation for specializing in museum-quality and historically important Philippine Art.” In addition, the gallery is also “a purveyor of meticulously selected Philippine antiques, dating from the Pre-Spanish period to the 19th Century.” Furthermore, León Gallery’s expertise are works of the Filipino Old Masters such as Juan Luna y Novivio, Félix Resurrección Hidalgo y Padilla, Fabian de la Rosa y Cueto, and Fernando Amorsolo y Cueto.

The works of the Thirteen Moderns, including Carlos “Botong” V. Fransisco, Anita Magsaysay-Ho, Hernando R. Ocampo, and Vicente Manansala, as well as Fernando Zóbel, Arturo Luz, and Federico Aguilar Alcuaz among others have likewise widened the gallery’s field. The gallery is honored to offer almost all of the country’s National Artists for the Visual Arts and Sculpture as well.
