The musical based on the hit Dreamworks film is coming to Manila, bringing all the magic and mischief of Far Far Away to the stage.
Shrek has become a cult classic since it hit theaters in 2001—a fresh amalgamation of various fairy tales, it captivated audiences with its comedic story of a curmudgeonly ogre who unwittingly finds love and friendship where he least expects it. Its success has yielded numerous sequels, as well as a 2008 Broadway production Shrek the Musical. This October 2025, the ogre-sized spectacle is coming to the Newport Performing Arts Theatre, ready to take Filipino audiences to the world of Far Far Away.
