The mall’s East Atrium has been transformed into an immersive gallery space, featuring both rarely seen and iconic works by the country’s esteemed National Artists for Visual Arts. Curated by Ricky Francisco, Director of Fundacion Sansó, the exhibition offers a thoughtful and respectful tribute to the brilliance and vision of these cultural luminaries.

In the Shadow of Great Light seeks to celebrate the lasting impact of the National Artists—not only as exceptional creators, but also as mentors, pioneers, and storytellers whose influence continues to inspire new generations. Audiences have a rare opportunity to view artworks that have shaped the nation’s visual narrative, with select pieces on loan from private collections and artist estates, some being exhibited publicly for the very first time.
