In her Instagram stories, the Filipino star posted some behind the scenes footage from before the show began. “Because who said ‘Little Miss’ can’t be on the runway? Thank you, Phan Huy, for making me open your show,” she wrote. In another story, she added “Small girl, big dreams.”
Evangelista was also present at the Hermes, Yves Saint Laurent, and Giambattista Valli runway shows in Paris, as well as the Fendi show during Milan Fashion Week.
Phan Huy’s Paris Debut
According to a post on his Instagram page, this fashion show was also the designer’s debut in Paris. “This was the greatest joy for Huy, as he successfully impressed the discerning experts and clients in the fashion capital of France,” the caption states.
The post also mentioned that Evangelista’s appearance was a surprise, last minute addition. She opened the show wearing Look No. 2 from Huy’s Tam Giang Lagoon Collection.
“The collection takes inspiration from the fishing rivers and fishing areas in Central Vietnam,” another Instagram post states. “Tam Giang Lagoon is a charming place at sunset where fishermen cast their nets and the undulating water streams glisten in the afternoon sunlight. All of that creates an idyllic beauty.”
“For me, Paris (France) is a dream capital of fashion. A place with long-standing fashion houses with unique fashion styles and extremely excellent and luxurious product quality. So having the opportunity to perform here is a great happiness. The dream I cherish every night has come true,” Huy shared with Thanh Nien Newspaper.
The collection Huy presented in Paris is titled “Lost in the Cavern.” In his designs’ descriptions, it’s evident that he finds inspiration from natural elements such as rivers, caves, and flowers. At only 25 years old, Huy is already making his mark in the fashion industry, all while honoring his national identity.
