Margot Robbie Proves To Be An Actual Barbie Doll

Margot Robbie flawlessly embodies Barbie’s world, showcasing a vibrant and glamorous wardrobe that captures the essence of the iconic doll.

You might think that Margot Robbie was destined to play Barbie.

The Australian actress has taken on the lead role in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming live-action film (coming July 21).

In the movie, the iconic Mattel doll embarks on a journey of self-discovery as she ventures into the real world, leaving behind her fantasy land and friends.

Get ready for some humor, and, of course, lots of pink!

It’s not uncommon for celebrities to pay homage to the projects they’re promoting through their red-carpet attire.

Take Halle Bailey’s ocean-inspired outfits for the upcoming Little Mermaid or Jenna Ortega’s goth-glam Wednesday looks as prime examples.

With that said, we can expect nothing less than a press tour wardrobe that’s worthy of Barbie herself from Robbie.

However, she has truly taken it to the next level! It’s as if she was born for this role; it feels so natural for her.

Let’s explore everything Robbie has worn leading up to the film’s release.

Schiaparelli Haute Couture

Robbie’s most glamorous Barbie-inspired look to date was a stunning black shimmering custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown.

She wore this exquisite ensemble for the film’s highly-anticipated Los Angeles premiere.

Completing her red-carpet look were matching opera gloves, a sheer handkerchief, a Lorraine Schwartz diamond choker necklace, a bold red lip, and a sleek updo.

Emilio Pucci

For her ‘Totally Hair’ Barbie look, which paid homage to the 1992 doll, Robbie sported impressive long waves with an Emilio Pucci printed dress.

She paired it with pink Manolo Blahnik heels, a Chanel bag, and Taffin jewelry.

Robbie showcased a more casual take on Barbie’s wardrobe with this Bottega Veneta outfit she wore while traveling.

It featured baby pink Manolo Blahnik mules, Jessica McCormack diamond earrings, and a relaxed yet stylish ensemble.

Versace

In a nod to vintage fashion, Robbie donned a Versace look from the Italian fashion house’s autumn/winter 1994 collection.

The outfit perfectly captured Barbie’s aesthetic, featuring a metallic pink pleated skirt, high-neck knit, purple socks, white heels, and Jessica McCormack jewelry.

Vintage Chanel

Chanel has become a central brand in Robbie’s Barbie-inspired tour wardrobe.

At Sydney airport, she was spotted in a vintage Chanel ensemble that was originally worn by Claudia Schiffer on the spring/summer 1996 catwalk.

The outfit included a checked pink blazer, classic two-tone slingbacks, and pink vintage luggage—a true Barbie carry-on.

Valentino

For the Los Angeles Barbie photocall at the Four Seasons Hotel, Robbie chose a custom polka-dot Valentino dress.

The outfit, including the yellow handbag, was a nod to one of the original doll’s looks. Robbie completed the ensemble with white Manolo Blahnik heels and pearl Assael jewelry.
