MALAYSIA IS WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Wong’s journey in the beauty industry began with her deep-rooted fascination for beauty products and the transformative power they hold. She kicked off her career in Malaysia as a sales executive and spent over 20 years there, working across many brands in the Malaysian market, before she landed an opportunity in the Travel Retail division where she was responsible for the Estée Lauder portfolio in the Korean and Japanese markets, the largest sub-regions of Asia Pacific Travel Retail.
In 2019, Wong relocated to New York to take on the role of Vice President and General Manager of Origins, where she focused on strengthening brand equity across all international markets in a locally relevant way, and on developing and executing a robust omni channel strategy in partnership with corporate functions and regions.
THE ASIAN COMEBACK
In 2021, Wong decided it was time to return to Asia, and was fortunate to take up a new opportunity leading the Philippines Affiliate as Country General Manager. It has been a great experience as this role has really brought out her collaborative spirit, strengthened her influencing skills, and empowered her to energize and rally the team towards a common vision. Armed with years of experience she embarked on her beauty career with a clear vision of making a significant impact in the beauty world.
Joining Estée Lauder, a globally renowned beauty brand, was a dream come true for Wong. Over the years, she has diligently worked her way up, demonstrating her expertise in brand management and strategic planning. Wong’s keen understanding of consumer preferences, market trends, and adapting to the Philippine beauty landscape has propelled her to the position she holds today.
