Rolls-Royce Unveils A Bespoke Wraith Inspired By The Solar System

Thanks to the impressive customization options one can peruse from a purchase of a Rolls-Royce, the true cost of a bespoke model goes far beyond the imagination of its loyal clientele. A choice marque for the world’s most prominent names and figures, the brand is a symbol of opulent luxury with a rich history that boasts of unforgettable moments, from its early days manufacturing engines for defense and civil aircraft, to the development of the Phantom and the Wraith—two of its most-coveted designs.

View From The Top: Wraith—Inspired By Earth

One of the most stunning bespoke pieces create to date is a bespoke Wraith commissioned through Rolls-Royce Abu Dhabi. The stellar masterpiece features unique air-brushed artwork depicting the Middle East, as seen from space. With keen attention to detail and masterful precision, various parts of the automobile exhibited a marvelous vision that captures the brand’s elegance amidst the fantasy. The bonnet artwork took over a hundred hours to complete with a unique hand-painted coachline that incorporates the sun and planets of the Solar System. A majestic aerial-view theme continues through the interior in rear waterfall embroidery, air-brushed fascia, and Bespoke Starlight Headline.

The exterior is finished in Royal Blue, representing the 75% of the Earth’s surface that is covered by water.
The seats are made from Moccasin leather to mimic the sands of the Emirates’ deserts. Navy and Cobalt Blue accents are suggestive of rivers and lakes and Emerald Green piping symbolizes nature in all its forms.
On the fascia, the Piano Milori veneer is embellished with a satellite image of the Middle East, so realistic that it appears to be a photograph but in fact is skillfully air-brushed.
The bonnet artwork depicts a satellite’s-eye view of the Middle Eastern region. Centered on the United Arab Emirates, the panorama extends across the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman.

“We’re used to clients bringing us grand visions for their Bespoke Commissions, but this provided a new perspective altogether. In our response to the brief, we’ve worked at both the ‘macro’ level, referencing the Sun and planets of the whole Solar System, and the much more personal ‘micro’ level, centering our view of the world on the place the customer calls home,” explains Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ Lead Bespoke Designer, Michael Bryden.
