Lasting Story

Rosita was born in 1931 in Golasecca, a province located in Northern Italy. Her parents were already in the fashion industry, as they were shawl makers. This family background became a vital force that led her to establish her fashion dynasty.

On a study trip in London, she met her husband, Tai, who was then competing in the 1948 London Olympics. The former was known for creating and sewing his own tracksuit and kit—truly a match made in heaven.

The Tai-Rosita tandem made major waves in fashion. Tai was the genius behind how the yarns and textiles were choreographed to form iconic zigzag patterns. On the flip side, Rosita led the overall creative direction of the brand. She focused on how these textiles were used in fashion and home goods.

Rosita outlived her husband when the latter passed away in 2013, after the tragic deeath of their son.

“Her artistic legacy will continue to live on through her creations, symbols of beauty and joy, inspiring fashion and design enthusiasts,” the brand stated in an Instagram post. Truly her contributions to fashion will never be forgotten. Her artistry and creative prowess, like their textile, will continue to be a colorful piece of fashion history.
