Thanks to her frequent Instagram posts, we’ve been updated with Heart Evangelista’s US itinerary. From New York to Los Angeles, the multi-slasher is working on creative collaborations and spends her downtime bonding with new and old friends.

In two posts, she’s seen rubbing elbows with Kelly Mi Li and Kane Lim— the two stars of Netflix’s Bling Empire.

Captioned “good times and kinda crazy friends” and “bling,” fans started to assume that the Filipina will appear in season 2 of the series—a reality show inspired by the book Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan.

Close ties

The show, which premiered last January, revolves around “wildly wealthy” Asians living in Los Angeles.

Although the three personalities may have planned the days together for fun, some work was also likely involved. In fact, Evangelista is friends with Kwan. The 36-year-old appeared in Kwan’s Harper’s Bazaar feature as one of “The Real Crazy Rich Asians,” and the author wrote the foreword of Evangelista’s book, Styled With Heart.

If she was tapped to be a permanent cast member of Bling Empire‘s second season is yet to be formally confirmed. However, even if the GMA artist makes a one-episode appearance, she’d fit right into the show’s trope of fabulous (and expensive) fashion.

In 2019, Evangelista was selected to be part of Vogue 100. The curated list includes creative minds from around the globe. And in the next year, Forbes France named Evangelista one of the world’s top luxury influencers.

More representation

In another post of the three friends, Kane Lim says, “Heart Evangelista, you ready? You epitomize what [the Philippines] means to me. A country with heart and kindness. A true beauty inside and outside. Perfection!!”

But what should Evangelista be “ready” for? Perhaps she’ll join the cast in one of their opulent events or luxury shopping sprees filmed for the hit series.

With Bling Empire being the first reality show with a fully Asian-American cast, watching a Filipina join in all the fun would be exciting.
