Music lovers are in for a real treat this Valentine’s Day at Solaire Resort & Casino. Brazilian bossa nova king Sergio Mendes will perform a back-to-back concert on February 14 and 15, 2019, at the luxury hotel’s event space, The Tent. Mendes’ performance at The Tent marks a milestone for the hotel. He will be the first international guest artist to perform in the new venue. Solaire shares that this is just the first event this year that is tailored to give patrons the best hotel-staying experience as possible.

“Sergio Mendes: A Valentine’s Day Concert” will feature the Brazilian superstar croon his most famous, romantic tunes. He is most popular for incorporating jazz and funk to the bossa nova genre. Mendes has been in the music industry for almost five decades. He has toured all around the world, building a good reputation for Brazilian music in Asia, Europe, the United States and the Middle East. The singer’s biggest hit was his milestone album Brasil 66, which was sung entirely in Portuguese. It reached the Billboard 100 Best list for his song “Mas Que Nada”. Mendes has worked with numerous artists, including John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Will.i.am and Black Eyed-Peas.
