The Fashion Awards 2023 took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London and celebrated creative excellence and talent.
London’s Fashion Awards 2023 celebrated excellence in ingenuity and relayed its support to the next generation of creative talent. The prestigious event, presented by Pandora, took place on Monday evening, December 4, at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The Fashion Awards event serves as the primary fundraiser for the British Fashion Council’s (BFC) Foundation which was formed in 2019. It aims to support the field through education, giving grants, and business mentoring.
The event spotlighted the fashion industry’s role at the intersection of culture and entertainment as well.

Star-studded Fashion Awards 2023
This year’s event saw through a number of celebrities and fashion icons who have graced the event.
British television presenter Maya Jama and musician Kojey Radical hosted the event. Sam Smith, who was also an awardee, performed their song “HIM” at the program.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Tessa Thompson, Pamela Anderson, model Kate Moss, Lily James, and Anne Hathaway attended too, among others.
Valentino wins Outstanding Achievement Award
The brand’s very own creator Valentino Garavani snagged the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Fashion Awards 2023. Co-founder Giancarlo Giammetti received the honor on his behalf and actress Paltrow presented it to him.
Jonathan Anderson snags Designer Of The Year
Jonathan Anderson of JW Anderson and Loewe got the honor for the Fashion Awards 2023’s Designer of the Year. This recognized a designer whose collections made notable impacts in the industry.
British actor Josh O’Connor presented Anderson with the award.
Paloma Elsesser is Model of The Year
American model Paloma Elsesser received the honor for Model of The Year at the Fashion Awards 2023. The award acknowledged a model’s influence that goes beyond the catwalk and encompasses giving a contribution to the fashion industry.
British actor Damson Idris bestowed the award to Elsesser.
Sam Smith named Cultural Innovator
Smith attended the Fashion Awards 2023 with two outfits, proving their ever stylish tastes. They donned a customized jacket and black kilt by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivenne Westwood as their first outfit.
The singer changed into a taffeta gown from the same designer upon accepting the Cultural Innovator Award. Lena Dunham presented them the honor.
