Nailed it!
Machine Gun Kelly rocked a $30,000 manicure that had his custom-designed nails fitted with 880 diamonds altogether weighing around 10 carats.

This completed the musician’s “emo cactus” look at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. He wore a turtleneck embroidered with Swarovski crystals and a metal spike-accented suit with cropped blazer.
Nails of LA’s founder-artist Brittney Boyce and bespoke jeweler Marrow Fine’s founder Jillian Sassone collaborated for the manicure.
“Creating Machine Gun Kelly’s diamond nails was a natural progression of where nail art and jewelry intersect,” Sassone told People.
The collaborators created the diamond tips using the base color “Depressionist” from Kelly’s own nail polish brand UN/DN LAQR, as well as a gunmetal transfer foil. Meanwhile, the 10-carat black and white diamonds ranged between 0.8 to 2.4 millimeters in size.
Boyce took 10 hours to set the diamond in preformed nails offsite. Finally, she glued these onto Kelly between rehearsals and the red carpet.
“I love the juxtaposition of the white diamonds set traditionally with the pops of black diamonds set pointy side up,” Sassone said.
Marrow Fine said they will upcycle the diamonds into custom rings after the awards night. All of the proceeds will go to a Cleveland-based charity.
This year’s Billboard Music Awards saw Kelly nominated for Top Rock Artist.
