You Can Now Have Dolce & Gabbana For Lunch

By

As if designer clothes weren’t enough, Dolce & Gabbana—the Italian luxury house known for their out-of-the-box creations—has just made designer pasta. No typos in there.

Now before quips start flowing in about the logistics of just how a fashion brand can possibly produce their own pasta, we’re here to tell you early on that the limited-edition pasta line done in collaboration with Pasta Di Martino, is still very much…Pasta Di Martino, yet packaged beautifully in designs from D&G.

The Pasta Di Martino spaghetti, penne mezzani rigate, mista corta, and paccheri will be enveloped by designs featuring Italian landmarks such as the Milan Duomo, the Venice canal, the Colosseum, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. In addition to the latter is the tagline: “La Famiglia, La Pasta, e L’Italia!”, which translates to “Family, pasta, and Italy!”.

Giuseppe Di Martino, CEO of Pasta Di Martino, claims that each tin of the special edition pasta is a “postcard, a souvenir, a special package with exceptional product inside.”

Impulsive buyers, take note! Only 5,000 tins of the collaboration are available, 1,000 of them in the United States. For a mere $110 dollars, you can now get a taste of unbelievably unnecessary yet ultra posh pasta straight from the comfort of your own home. Wonderful!
