During Lifestyle Asia’s The Lost Weekend, Magnum Philippines created two indulgent desserts that complemented the weekend’s spirit of nourishment, movement, and connection.
Lifestyle Asia’s recently concluded The Lost Weekend captured what “the good life” means for today’s generation, something the country’s oldest luxury magazine has sought to redefine since its refresh last April. Over three days, a select group of guests were invited to a special getaway at Nawa Wellness in Batangas, where they could pause, reflect, and simply live in the moment. The experience unfolded through three guiding themes: to nourish, to move, and to connect.
Apart from finding solace in the serenity of the province, guests had an array of treats as their weekend companions, courtesy of Magnum Philippines. The ice cream brand, among the most dynamic in the country since launching in 2012, played a vital role during The Lost Weekend—not only as a food partner serving irresistibly decadent creations, but also as a sweet reminder that wellness isn’t just about what sustains us, but also about what brings us joy.
At the heart of the weekend’s festivities was Magnum’s newest flavor: Strawberry Panna—an indulgent blend of fruity strawberry and velvety panna cotta ice cream, coated in Magnum’s signature cracking Belgian chocolate with strawberry pieces. It’s a flavor born from elegance and crafted for those who savor life’s sweetest moments. From its premium ingredients to its satisfying crunch, Strawberry Panna embodies the kind of everyday luxury that transforms an ordinary dessert into a sensorial experience.

Finding Sweet Joy
Each day of The Lost Weekend revolved around one of three themes. The first day’s theme of “Nourish” was a concept that went beyond food and drink, focusing on what it means to feed the soul and find fulfillment in the simple things. To keep that feeling alive, Magnum Philippines set up a stall at the heart of Nawa Wellness’s Dalisay Dining, where guests could enjoy their favorite Magnum flavors any time of the day.
That evening, during dinner, they elevated the culinary experience further with the first special dessert crafted exclusively for The Lost Weekend in collaboration with Nawa Wellness’s talented Chef Dos Bustillos II. The creation, aptly called the “Vivoli Fried Strawberry Magnum,” was a playful fusion of flavors, pairing Magnum’s indulgent Strawberry Panna ice cream with creamy ube and sweet langka, all encased in a delicate golden crunch that gave way to cool, creamy sweetness with every bite. The dessert was flambéed tableside, turning the moment into a theatrical delight. After all, nourishment isn’t only about what fills us; it’s also about what excites us, surprises us, and brings us happiness.
“I’ve always had a major sweet tooth, so dessert is non-negotiable for me,” shared Lifestyle Asia’s Chief of Editorial Content Kerry Tinga. “There’s something about ending the night on a sweet note that truly completes the experience. The Vivoli Fried Strawberry Magnum did exactly that at The Lost Weekend. It was the perfect final touch to our first dinner.”

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of Ice Cream
The second day, themed “Move,” was a lively one, filled with activities that kept guests energized from sunrise to sunset. Magnum Philippines once again became a source of delight, offering guests a sweet escape between breathwork sessions, mountain hikes, and wellness treatments.
The day culminated in a special dinner held at the resort’s main roundabout, which was closed off exclusively for Lifestyle Asia. To refuel the pleasantly tired guests, Chef Dos prepared yet another culinary feast capped by a refreshing dessert made in partnership with Magnum Philippines. Called the “Tropical Dream” Smoothie, it featured a vibrant blend of ripe mangoes and the creamy richness of Magnum’s Strawberry Panna ice cream, which was finished off with a medley of chia seeds and flecks of local dark chocolate. Its fruity aroma and smooth texture offered the perfect balance between refreshment and indulgence.
For Apples Aberin, One Mega Group’s Vice President for Lifestyle Media Brands, the weekend’s desserts perfectly captured the essence of self-care. “Self-care = Magnum! Really just happiness with every indulgent bite,” she said, summing up how the brand’s signature mix of creaminess and crunch made each moment even more special.
As the evening drew to a close, guests left the table smiling, their hearts full, and their dessert cravings satisfied. It was a comforting end that promised only the sweetest dreams after a day of movement and meaning.

Remembering Life’s Pleasures
The Lost Weekend drew to a close with its final theme, “Connect.” It was a short but heartfelt day, as guests gathered for a leisurely meal prep class and then an opulent boodle fight at the main dining room. Finally, they formed a gratitude circle to share their reflections and takeaways from the retreat.
In many ways, Magnum Philippines became the connecting thread of the weekend: a delectable constant that brought moments of bliss between mindfulness, movement, and rest. It reminded everyone that connection doesn’t always have to be profound or planned; sometimes, it’s as simple as pausing to share something sweet. In the busyness of our daily lives, we need to remember that slowing down means savoring the moment—and that includes indulging in life’s little pleasures.
