Treated Right: This Luxury Dog Cafe in San Francisco Offers a $75 Tasting Menu Exclusively for Pups

Dogue preaches the health benefits dogs can receive from switching to natural, raw food versus canned or packed pet feed.

When rewarding our dogs, many of us reach for a bag of bone-shaped biscuits. Depending on their behavior, we’d take one (or two, maybe three). However, the US’ first-ever luxury dog cafe is treating our beloved pets to the next level.

Dogue, located in San Francisco, was founded by classically trained chef Rhami Massarweh. Beyond handmade artisanal offerings like a rose-shaped cake filled with wild venison heart, chicken mushroom soup, chicken-skin waffles, and “dogguccinos.” Even an experiential dining experience is on the menu. On Sundays, a three-course tasting menu is available for $75.

Nutrition first

Although it’s a nice idea to dine with your pet—you can’t. No items cater to humans; however, every dish is created with natural ingredients that humans can recognize. This includes turmeric, cod liver oil, eggs, and fermented vegetables. In fact, Dogue preaches the health benefits dogs can receive from switching to natural, raw food versus canned or packed pet feed.

Dogue’s dishes are handmade in small batches with your dog’s health in mind

Dogue uses naturally-nutrient-dense ingredients at their seasonal peak, something Massarweh learned as a professional chef. Using products at the height of their freshness eliminates the need for artificial supplements found on most dog food ingredient lists.

“Dogue is our mission to change the lives of as many dogs as we can. Feeding fresh, seasonal, quality whole food one meal at a time,” says Dogue’s founder on their website.
