Boomie Trinidad and Paula Maravilla are ready to embark on life’s new adventures together after celebrating their wedding in El Nido.

Boomie Trinidad and Paula Maravilla first met at a hidden cocktail bar in BGC where they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. Now in their fifth year together, the two have become each other’s best friend, bonding over their common interests.

“We are adventurous and enjoy an active lifestyle. We both love to run, scuba dive, and explore new places,” Paula tells Lifestyle Asia.
A MAGICAL DESTINATION WEDDING
It was just a usual day at home when Boomie proposed to Paula. She was in the middle of her morning yoga routine when he decided to pop the question. Since getting engaged, the two were hands-on throughout the whole wedding planning stage.
“We wanted a relaxed beach chic getaway,” Paula shares. The couple chose Lagen Island in El Nido for their destination wedding because “the location stood out with its stunning limestone backdrop and the most pristine ocean views.”
On April 29, the couple held a welcome party for their guests at the island. The next day, they celebrated their wedding with an intimate ceremony with only their closest family and friends for company.
The stylist decorated the venue with Ecuadorian roses and baby’s breath, accentuating the unspoilt beauty of the island. Paula’s bridal gown, a Franko Barrio original, featured genuine freshwater and baroque pearls. Meanwhile her shoes were made with capiz shells. “I believe less is always more,” she shares.
CELEBRATING LOVE IN PARADISE
“The whole thing was surreal,” Paula shares, when asked what their favorite memories were throughout the whole celebration. Even though there was a light rain shower on the morning of their wedding, they took this as a lucky sign. “A moment I will always remember was the most magical sunset that greeted us after the ceremony.”
The couple’s wedding day was filled with delicious food, great booze, awesome music, and the best people in Boomie and Paula’s lives.
