These Asian Stars Are New Luxury Brand Ambassadors

These Asian actors, singers, and idols now represent some of the most recognized labels in the world.

In 2024, Asian stars are continuing to cement their place in the beauty and fashion scene as new brand ambassadors. 

More luxury labels are still choosing these celebrities to represent and promote their brand, reaching a wider, global audience.

Kim Taeri

In the beginning of August, Kim Taeri became Prada Beauty’s first brand ambassador in South Korea. The announcement was followed by more photos and videos featuring the award-winning actress with Prada’s Monochrome lipsticks.

Kim is well-known for her roles in the films The Handmaiden, Little Forest, and Space Sweepers. She also starred in the television shows Mr. Sunshine, Twenty-Five Twenty-One, and Revenant.

“I am excited and honored to be chosen as the ambassador for Prada Beauty, a brand that offers a fresh vision of beauty. I look forward to embarking on a special journey with Prada Beauty that merges beauty with creative inspiration,” the actress shared.

Mingyu

Also last month, Mingyu of the K-pop boy group Seventeen was officially named Dior’s new ambassador. In the photo attached to the announcement, the idol is wearing a burgundy Oblique suit, representing the spirit and singularity of the Dior allure.

The brand has also described him as the perfect embodiment of “audacity and creativity” as well as “the modern Dior men’s aesthetic.”

As part of Seventeen, Mingyu will be embarking on the Right Here World Tour, which includes stops in South Korea, Japan, and the United States. The tour follows the group’s wildly successful appearances at Glastonbury Festival and Lollapalooza Berlin.

Li Yitong

Longchamp welcomed singer and actress Li Yitong as its new ambassador in China. “With her talent and charm, she will inspire a fresh wave of style and sophistication across the region, perfectly embodying our brand’s values with grace and flair,” the label stated.

Li is known for her roles in the fantasy series The Legend of the Condor Heroes and the recent crime drama The Knockout. She has also won several awards in China for her performance in the former.

The actress has over 30 million followers across all her social media pages. She also joins fellow Chinese actors Gao Yuanyuan and Wang Ziwen as the brand’s ambassadors in China.

Karina

Prada recently tapped K-pop It Girl and Aespa member Karina as its new brand ambassador. Ahead of the announcement, the idol attended Prada’s fashion show at Milan Men’s Fashion Week for fall 2024.

Aside from her brand ambassador duties, Karina has been busy touring the world with Aespa. The group also released their first full album Armageddon earlier this year.

She joins other K-pop artists Jeon Somi, Twice’s Sana, NCT’s Jaehyun, and the whole of Enhypen as Prada’s brand ambassadors.

Toey Jarinporn Joonkiat

Just a week ago, Prada also announced actress Toey Jarinporn Joonkiat as its first Thai female brand ambassador. For her first event with the label, she’ll be attending the Spring/Summer 2025 Womenswear show in Milan on September 19.

Joonkiat, who has been acting since 2006, starred in major hits such as Dear Galileo, Countdown, and To the Moon and Back. Aside from her acting career, she is also an advocate for education and sustainability.

Last year, Prada appointed Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn as its first Thai brand ambassador. The actor also left celebratory emojis in the comment section of the announcement for Joonkiat, welcoming her aboard.
