Fair Trade: Drake Is Saying Goodbye To His $88M Mansion

After buying it for $75 million last year, Drake lists his sprawling Beverly Hills Mansion for $88 million.

Grammy award-winning rapper Drake has metaphorically and physically built an empire, solidifying himself as one of the music industry’s biggest and most influential artists.

With a collection of luxury supercars, high-end watches, and extravagant properties, the Toronto-born rapper situates himself in some of the world’s most desirable destinations.

The rapper purchased a home last year from British rocker Robbie Williams and his wife, Ayda Field, for $75 million, but has decided to sell it for $88 million this year.

Although it’s not known exactly why he’s selling his mansion, it’s a surprising move for the hip-hop star, who spent over a year scouring the Southern California market in search of the perfect estate.

One can understand why he purchased the mansion in the first place. According to Beverly Hills Estates, the real estate brand handling the listing, the home is set across three levels and accessible only through a long private-gated drive.

Once you’ve made your way inside the compound, you’ll be greeted by an unparalleled outlook of Los Angeles, with 360-degree views boasting canyon, city, and ocean scenes. Inside, the opulence continues.

The house itself spans more than 24,000 square feet, and the property covers roughly 20 acres—more than double the acreage of any other house on the market in the area.

The main house features 7 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen with breakfast room, library, and two family rooms (with one doubling as a professional screening room).

Built in 2001, the Tuscan-style mansion includes three additional ensuite bedrooms designed for on-location staff. Perfectly suited for grand-scale entertaining, modern amenities include a garage for 11 cars, an elevator, wine cellar, gym, game room, pool/guest house, indoor/outdoor kitchen, hidden tennis court, and orchard.

If Drake gets his price, it’ll be Southern California’s most expensive home sale so far this year. The impressive estate is the priciest property up for grabs in the place due to its rare combination of size and scale. You can check out the listing over at The Beverly Hills Estates‘ website.
