Costume Designer, Janty Yates, opted for a high jewelry necklace from the new “Le Magnifiche” collection in platinum with 11 oval rubies, 77 round brilliant cut diamonds, and pavé-set diamonds.

This was paired with high jewelry earrings from the same collection in platinum with two oval rubies, round brilliant-cut diamonds, round brilliant-cut diamonds and pavé-set diamonds. Additionally, the designer selected a Bvlgari Heritage set for Gaga’s character, a necklace in gold with amethysts, citrines, pink tourmalines, emeralds, sapphires and diamonds from 1991.

She paired it with earrings in gold with amethysts, citrines, emeralds and diamonds (1989), a Tubogas bracelet in gold with amethysts and diamonds (ca. 1972) and a Tubogas bracelet in gold with amethysts, rutilated quartzes and diamonds (ca. 1977).

Interesting choices

The movie, which is set to open in theaters on November 25, is not only winning raves for aesthetics. Gaga’s riveting performance as the Gucci matriarch in particular has created early Oscar buzz for the pop star.

Based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Forden, the movie revolves around Reggiani’s murder plot against her ex-husband Maurizio, and her subsequent trial, arrest, and release in 2016.

While the movie’s reviews have been mixed, the chemistry between Gaga and Adam Driver (who plays Maurizio) has caught attention. The New York Times deems the interplay between the two as “interesting,” and call their lighter scenes when they play off each other as fun.

Of course, one of the main highlights of the film is the fashion, and House of Gucci deliberately plays this off to excess. Much like the actress who plays her, Reggiani lives and breathes fashion, and her style choices are determined and confident.

As the singer points out in an Instagram post, “Patrizia always gets what she wants”—jewelry included.
