Female artists dominated the 66th Grammy nominations. Nominated artists include SZA, Phoebe Bridgers, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift, among others.
Women outpace men in the 66th Grammy nominations for 2024 when the award-governing body announced the nominees last week.
Reuters reported that the winners will be announced on February 4 next year at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Versatile recording artist SZA became the most-nominated artist with nine total nominations.
A couple female artists followed in her footsteps. Phoebe Bridgers clinched seven nominations while boygenius, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Victoria Monét, and Olivia Rodrigo snagged six nominations each.

SZA celebrates new milestones
Grammys reported that artist SZA has a lot of new milestones to celebrate. She secured the most nods in several major categories like the Album of the Year award for her album SOS.
SOS is the singer’s first LP or long play to receive an Album of The Year nomination.

SZA’s “Kill Bill” became her first solo song nominated for the categories Record of The Year and Song of The Year.
She received first-time nominations for the Best Progressive R&B Album (SOS) and Best Traditional R&B Performance for the song “Love Language.”
Women dominate Grammy nominations
The list of nominees for the 66th Grammy Awards majorly comprised established women in the music industry.
Bridgers came after SZA with seven nominations. The singer earned nominations for the Best Pop Duo or Group Performance for “Ghost In The Machine” with SZA. She grabbed another distinction for the Best Rock Song with boygenius’ “Not Strong Enough” among others. She co-wrote the song with Julien Baker & Lucy Dacus where all three of them are members of trio group boygenius.

Swift got six nominations for the 2024 Grammys and among those is for Midnights for Album of The Year. Her song “Anti-Hero” gained nominations for Record of The Year and Song of The Year. Swift’s “Karma” with featured singer Ice Spice got distinguished as well for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance categories, among others.

Cyrus took six nominations for next year. Her song “Flowers” acquired nominations such as Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year. Her album Endless Summer Vacation became a contender for Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Nominations included Olivia Rodrigo, Brandy Clark, Victoria Monét, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, Halle Bailey, and a few more on this complete list.

Artists react to their Grammy Awards nominations
The Grammys cover recordings released between Oct. 1, 2022 up to Sept. 15, 2023 according to Reuters. Voters comprised recording artists, songwriters, composers, producers, mixers and engineers.
Pop icon Beyoncé won four Grammys last year and broke the record for most career wins with 32.
People reported that artists have taken to social media their reactions for their nominations.
Ice Spice appeared shocked yet very grateful with a tweet from X (formerly Twitter). She received four Grammy nominations. Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams posted her reaction on Instagram where she holds her phone showing her name under Best New Artist.

Swift took her appreciation to fans in The Eras Tour in Buenos Aires for its six Grammy nominations.
Cyrus expressed gratitude to her Smilers (her fans) and said that watching women rule the music industry made her proud. “Having my music LOVED around the world is the real trophy,” she added.
