Catching Up On 2023's K-Pop Scene’s Luxury Brand Ambassadors

This year, dozens of K-pop idols were tapped to represent the most coveted luxury brands in fashion.

The world’s most famous luxury fashion houses continued to ride the K-wave in the latter half of 2023, naming some of the biggest stars in K-pop as their brand ambassadors.

These artists have fan bases that amount to millions, making them a valuable partner for any company. Here’s a rundown of some idols who began representing huge brands this year.

Dahyun for Michael Kors

In July, Michael Kors named TWICE’s Dahyun as their newest global brand ambassador. The idol carried the brand’s Signature Logo Heather bag in the announcement post. Since then, she’s been a part of several ad campaigns and was present for runway shows.

Dahyun has also been busy working on TWICE’s 2023 album Ready to Be and touring with her members all over the world.

Minnie for Miu Miu

(G)I-DLE has had a busy year since releasing the hit song “Queencard” in May. In August, the group’s vocalist Minnie became Miu Miu’s new house ambassador, joining other idols such as IVE’s Wonyoung and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA.

Felix, LE SSERAFIM, and RIIZE for Louis Vuitton

Stray Kids rapper Felix became Louis Vuitton’s house ambassador in August. “I am thrilled that Felix is joining Louis Vuitton. I met him when I presented my Pre-Fall 2023 Collection in Seoul and it instantly clicked between us. He is really talented—I love his energy, his unique personality, and his audacious sense of style,” said creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.

Chae-won, Yun-jin, Sakura, Kazuha, and Eun-chae of LE SSERAFIM were also tapped to be the brand’s house ambassadors in October.

Then just earlier this month, Louis Vuitton welcomed one of K-pop’s newest groups, RIIZE, to the family.

Jungwoo for Tod’s

NCT’s Jungwoo is officially Tod’s first male brand ambassador in Korea. “Sharing the same passion for timeless style and the contemporary spirit of the brand, Jungwoo will accompany the brand in many of its activities in Korea,” the brand stated on social media.

Also this year, Jungwoo debuted in the new sub-unit NCT DJJ. He’s joined by fellow members Doyoung, who is a Dolce & Gabbana ambassador, and Jaehyun, who represents Prada.

Winter for Polo Ralph Lauren

In November, aespa’s Winter was chosen to represent Polo Ralph Lauren. The main vocalist joins fellow SM Entertainment artist Mark as the brand’s ambassador.

Earlier this year, aespa released two EPs, My World and Drama, and began their first ever world tour.
