Heart Evangelista shares that the contribution is sourced from the sale of a vintage horse hair Kelly 32 Hermés bag from her personal collection which she painted.
On July 30, Heart Evangelista donated P1.5 million to the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. She posted about the donation and the appreciation ceremony for their donors on social media.
“Turning my passion projects for good,” the star wrote. “The proceeds of this #lovemariehandpaintedbags from my personal collections will continue to bless more hearts in need.”

Evangelista has been known for customizing luxury accessories, from handbags to watches. Some of her celebrity clients include Maggie Wilson, Kim Chiu, and Carla Abellana. She has also brought her hand-painted creations to Fashion Weeks, drawing plenty of attention.
This time, the sale from her art pieces are going to a greater cause. “This contribution is sourced from the sale of a vintage horse hair Kelly 32 Hermés bag from my personal collection which I painted,” Evangelista said in the video.
“Through the collective efforts of our generous donors, members of the Senate Spouses, and our other partners, may we continue to extend help to those in need,” she continued in her Instagram caption.
According to Evangelista, the SSFI has been focusing on distributing school supplies to different areas as well as relief packs to victims of Typhoon Carina.
Last week, their team was able to extend a helping hand to 8,000 individuals affected by the recent calamity.
“We could not have done this without our partners and donors who gifted us with their generous acts of giving. Help came in all shapes and sizes at a time when it is most needed,” Evangelista wrote.
As the wife of Senate President Francis Escudero, Evangelista became head of the SSFI earlier this year in May.
