Hot Property: Betty White's LA Home is Listed for $10.575M Just After Her Other Home Sells - Suite Life

The available property sits on .74 acres of land.

Just as the late Betty White’s Carmel beach house found a buyer, her Brentwood property has been officially listed by Sotheby’s Realty.

First listed in March, the recently purchased California beach house sold for $10.775M, three million more than its $7.95 asking price. The Golden Girls star bought the property with husband Allen Ludden, but the latter died suddenly in 1981 just as it was completed.

Over the years, White was said to regard the 3,600-square foot, three-story mid-century home as a refuge and sanctuary.

On the other hand, her home in Brentwood Park, which was built in 1952, is listed at $10.575M. White and Ludden bought the property in 1968, a few years into their marriage. As both husband and wife were TV personalities, they supposedly picked it because it was close to all the major studios of the day.

The sprawling property has huge parklike grounds, views of the Getty Museum and mountains, according to the auction house’s lot description.

“Gated and set back from the street on over 3/4 of an acre, the setting is peaceful with flower filled gardens and old growth trees. This is the first time the property is on the market in over 50 years. This is a unique opportunity to build your dream home on a flat lot in a serene country setting. The property is being sold for land value,” the description reads of the property that sits on .74 acres of land.

As the listing explains, only exterior viewings of the home is possible, and all showings are by appointment only to financially-capable buyers.

Fans of the actress are still in shock over her death at the tail-end of 2021, just a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday. She passed away peacefully in her sleep in Brentwood Park.
