Virgil Abloh’s Off-White and AC Milan officially kicked off their three-year partnership. When the team traveled to London for the UEFA Champions League against Chelsea, the squad sported their Off-White pre-game pieces.
The logo-patched varsity jackets feature the luxury label’s logo with Milan’s devil at the back. For formal wear, AC Milan’s style and culture curator designed tailored suits to be worn with black shirts with “OFF” printed at the center front.
Both the varsity and jackets have a red patch on the left sleeve. This symbolizes Off-White’s late founder’s “I Support” vernacular. The concept titled “wear your heart on your sleeve” has each player pledging support to an issue of their choice.
Defined principles
“This partnership is an ambitious project involving two innovative global brands. As a Club, we have very defined principles. Cultural inclusivity and equality are at the forefront of our business,” Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan, said in a statement.
“Therefore, we are proud to embark on this journey with Off-White, with whom the Rossoneri share a common vision and a common mission. The new journey is a further testament to AC Milan’s ability to engage with younger generations through the convergence of football with other sectors.”
