Jewelmer Joaillerie recently added another milestone to its international success as it recently celebrated its commemoration at the main hall of Mitsukoshi, Japan’s premier department store in Nihombashi. The 300 year-old historic landmark carries some of the most prestigious luxury brands in the world such as Cartier, Graff, Bvlgari, Mikimoto and Tiffany & Co. Adding to that illustrious list is the pride of the Philippines, Jewelmer.
Hideaki Shimura, Buyer for Jewelry & Watches Department, Luxury Merchandising Division of Isetan Mitsukoshi Group enthuses, “The Mitsukoshi Department Store’s Main Hall is a very special place to our company, not only is it a place to showcase products from big maisons but it is also a place to introduce to our customers new products that have meaningful value and that is Jewelmer.” He adds “Majority of the people don’t know about the existence of the Jewelmer golden south sea pearls that is why we decided to mount this event so that they will be aware of the brand. We are also putting Jewelmer on the cover of our Holiday catalogue to raise awareness for the brand. Last year Cartier was the featured brand and this year we chose Jewelmer to be on the cover of Mitsukoshi’s Holiday Catalogue.”
Along with Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina, Jacques Christophe Branellec, Deputy CEO and Executive Vice President of Jewelmer along with his team Marion Branellec, Jewelmer’s Brand Manager; Baptiste Sablon, Jewelmer’s Head of International Sales for Asia and Penelope Uy, Events and Communication Manager of Jewlemer represented the country with pride and honor as they showcased the National Gem, the lustrous cultured golden South Sea pearls to the Japanese market.
The launch coincided with the store visit of the 2016 Miss International candidates including our very own representative Kylie Verzosa who was proudly wearing her Jewelmer Golden South Sea pearl earrings. A photo exhibit by renowned Japanese photographer Akinobu Saito was also on display. Through his lens, Saito captured the beauty of the pearl farm in Palawan. His photographs tells the story of a community that thrives in hard work and excellence that continuously works with the environment to create the most beautiful pearls the Philippines has to offer.
