Jacqueline Kierulf and Jimmy Kircher were introduced to each other in a party in Manhattan, where both of them reside. Friendship and dating followed, and after a few years, it was time to tie the knot.
For the proposal, Jimmy planned a scavenger hunt around their neighborhood, planning beforehand with Jacqueline’s friends and cousins. While she was taken out to lunch by her girlfriends, he set his plan in motion.
Arriving home, there was a bouquet waiting for her, along with a letter from him with the first clue. The next four stops took place in their favored neighborhood haunts, with all of Jimmy’s friends from high school to university participating. The final stop was the rooftop of their apartment building, with Jimmy waiting in front of the door. As soon as she stepped out, he proposed. When she said yes, she realized her best friends and closest cousins were filming and watching the entire proposal. As she Jacqueline says, “It was one of the best days of my life.”
The wedding ceremony took place in Don Bosco Makati, Jacqueline’s home town. Knowing she didn’t want to be too rigid about the dress code, she merely asked her entourage to buy their own dresses in any shade of blue, except for navy. The reception took place in the Manila Polo Club. “We greatly appreciated that many of our friends and family from the US flew to the Philippines to celebrate our wedding,” she says. “It was a beautiful reunion and meeting of friends and family.”
