Daughters Francine Limsin, Kwenby Eleazar, Mitzi Pangilinan, and Jessica Tan Gan share their sweet and thoughtful plans for Mother’s Day 2024.
With Mother’s Day drawing closer, many children are in the process of planning the perfect celebration for their moms. Whether they choose to give them precious gifts to last a lifetime or unforgettable experiences through bonding activities, everyone has their own way of showing how much they cherish the special women in their lives. As many of us know, mothers and daughters share an inimitable bond and profound love for one another.
Mothers are often a girl’s first role model, guardian, and constant companion throughout life, as they understand each other’s experiences as women on a deeper level. To commemorate these extraordinary relationships, Lifestyle Asia asked four daughters to share what they have planned for their moms this May 12.

Francine Limsin
Q: What gift (or experience) do you plan to give your mom this Mother’s Day?
We are currently at Los Angeles. So for Mother’s Day, we are planning to hike Point Dume, followed by a scrumptious brunch along Malibu Pier.
Q: Why did you choose this gift?
It’s the perfect way to celebrate her love for good food, chill vibes, and exciting adventures.
Q: What do you love most about your mom?
What I love most about my mom is her unwavering support; it gives me reassurance to know I have someone by my side through every twist and turn in life.
Kwenby Eleazar
Q: What gift (or experience) do you plan to give your mom this Mother’s Day?
The gift of quality time.
Q: Why did you choose this gift?
As we get older and have more responsibilities, we tend to spend less time with our parents. Rather than buying material things for Mother’s Day, I would rather spend one-on-one quality time with my mom doing the things she loves, like painting together and sippin’ on her favorite wine while catching up on our day-to-day lives. This way, we get to bond and create lasting memories.
Q: What do you love most about your mom?
There are a lot of things I love about my Mom. I love her desire to keep on growing, to explore new experiences and places, to make everyday a wonderful adventure! She has the energy of a twenty one year old!
Mitzi Pangilinan
Q: What gift (or experience) do you plan to give your mom this Mother’s Day?
I’d like to travel with her as we planned, just on a mother-daughter holiday this year. Not necessarily on Mother’s Day itself, but definitely within 2024.
Q: Why did you choose this gift?
Because it would be great for us to bond during this mother-daughter trip—quality time!
Q: What do you love most about your mom?
I love that she is outgoing and fun; that she is active, loves life and knows how to live it to the fullest. I also love her generosity, especially towards her family. She is a wonderful grandma and great-grandma! The best there is.
Jessica Tan Gan
Q: What gift (or experience) do you plan to give your mom this Mother’s Day?
I planned a road trip with my kids to Tagaytay for some family time and pampering in a wellness resort.
Q: Why did you choose this gift?
My mom is always on the go, and with the kids’ school schedule it’s not often that we get to see her as much as we’d like. This Mother’s Day, I want to give my mom time for herself to relax and be around family.
Q: What do you love most about your mom?
My mom’s positive attitude and zest for life is what I most love about her. Growing up, I would always tag along with her and remember having the best laugh attacks with her. She was, and is, a fun and loving mom and grandma.
As these daughters have demonstrated through their thoughtful plans, showing appreciation to one’s mother is an act that transcends its physical manifestations. Beneath every gift is the wish to honor and spend more time with the sophisticated, compassionate, and fun-loving women who supported their daughters unconditionally and raised them to become the great people they are today.
