Whether it’s staple items in their everyday carry-ons, or home essentials, Lala Gotao, Luisa Viray, and Keith Sacasas talk about their favorite local brands and products.
Over the years, the Philippines has become an incubator for innovative brands and products that showcase how rewarding it is when one supports local names. These products are not only of the highest quality, but also ones that are evidently made with plenty of attention and care. However, descriptions can only go so far—why not take it from people who actually use these items on a daily basis? In line with its “Love Local” theme for the month of August, Lifestyle Asia asked Lala Gotao, Luisa Viray, and Keith Sacasas what their go-to everyday essentials are, and why they love using them.

I always have my vitamins from Healthy Options, whether I’m at home or traveling—and my Glo Resortwear swimsuits for my beach trips.
Why do you love these brands or products in particular?
Vitamins and supplements are essential to my lifestyle to make sure I prioritize my health wherever I am. I love my Glo Resortwear swimsuits for their craftsmanship and style. It hugs all the right spots!

I don’t use a lot of beauty products, but I’m a fan of Amparo’s Apothecary Lemon and Avocado Nail and Cuticle Cream.
Why do you love these brands or products in particular?
The soothing scent is a treat, and it truly works in keeping my nails and cuticles soft and hydrated. It’s no surprise it’s always out of stock! Plus, Amparo herself is a gem—she’s warm, accommodating, and a pleasure to support.
