Last week, Donnie and Crickette Tantoco held a grand despedida de soltera for their daughter Nicole, who is set to wed architect Miko de los Reyes. One of the oldest traditions in Filipino marriages, a despedida de soltera is a send-off party for the bride, who is officially bidding farewell to single life. The couple’s closest family and friends were invited to the party, which was spearheaded by Nicole’s mother, Crickette.
White Space was transformed into an indoor garden space, with lush blooms and greenery hanging over dining tables and lounge chairs. At the center, a stage was set up for live performers to serenade the bride and groom. Nicole Laurel-Asensio and Filipino rapper Curtismith were amongst those who sang that evening. Nicole’s father Donnie also rocked the stage, performing selections from the movie musical, The Greatest Showman. The night was a joyous occasion, with most guests dancing their hearts out in celebration for the upcoming nuptials.
