Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson were among those who attended the private service for their bandmate and friend.
Family and friends of English singer and One Direction star Liam Payne gathered for his funeral on Wednesday. The private service took place at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, just outside London.
All four remaining members of One Direction—Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson—were present at the funeral.

Meanwhile, Payne’s parents and two sisters were joined by his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. His former partner Cheryl Tweedy (also known as Cheryl Cole) was in attendance as well. The two have a seven-year-old son together, named Bear.
Other attendees include actor and former Late Late Show host James Corden and Simon Cowell, who helped create then managed Payne’s boy band through The X Factor.
Loving Tributes For Liam
Payne’s casket was adorned with white roses and was brought to the church in a horse-drawn carriage. The carriage was adorned with the words “Son” and “Daddy” in blue and red flowers.
A floral tribute shaped like bowling pins was also seen at the venue. Payne was a massive fan of the sport, having spent his last birthday with his family playing it.
In a TikTok video, his girlfriend Cassidy wrote, “Liam’s obsessed with bowling,” and that “he drags me to bowling at least four times a week.”
Some of the cars attendees used at the funeral had Batman stickers on them, showing the singer’s love for the comic book character. Payne often dressed up as the Caped Crusader during Halloween and even while performing on stage.

The singer passed away over a month ago, on October 16, after falling from the balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His body was flown to the United Kingdom earlier in November for the funeral.
So far, three people have been arrested in relation to Payne’s death, charged with “crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death” and “supply and facilitation of narcotics.”
