The campaign includes the French house’s controversial $1,790 calfskin trash bags.
Balenciaga has just unveiled its FW22 campaign, and similar to its Haute Couture show last July, the casting taps big names. Kim Kardashian, one of the celebrity models from the Paris show, apart from Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, and Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn, stars in a series of advertisements.

This is no surprise, considering the 41-year-old’s inclination to the Demna-helmed brand for her career milestones. Kardashian wore the French house to her first gig hosting Saturday Night Live, during a cameo in her ex-husband, Kanye West’s DONDA show (his 10th album), and Balenciaga also made her memorable all-black, face-covering Met Gala look in 2021.

Other faces in the new campaign feature Euphoria’s Alexa Demie, South Korean-American rapper Big Matthew, model Khadim Sock, and South Korean volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung.
Shot by Berlin-based photographer Daniel Roche, the models wear Balenciaga’s Winter 2022 collection. This includes the house’s highly talked-about Trash Bag Large Pouch—which looks exactly as it sounds.
Available in white with red straps or in all-black, the Trash Bags are made of calfskin and retail for $1,790.
