Marriott Cafe goes for a sweet spectrum of chocolate creations for Valentine’s Day.
If you by chance have stayed at the Manila Marriott recently and dined at their buffet in Marriott Cafe, a sweet surprise will greet you with a table displaying an array of lush chocolates of different shapes and sizes. From chocolate lipsticks, bags, screwdrivers, to many other miniature confections, it shows that they are holding nothing back this Valentine’s season. With even a chocolate macaron tree, the cafe shows its dessert prowess in full glory. Of course, there’s also the standard chocolate hearts and blocks but with that much chocolate in sight from just the entrance–one might wonder what else awaits inside the all-day buffet.

The Choco Love Affair gets sweeter with Marriott Cafe Bakery’s Valentine Round Cakes (Php 950 net) lineup for the season. A top choice is the ‘Strawberry Heart’ is made with strawberry cremeux, almond pistachio sponge, lemon cream cheese mousse, strawberry confit, and pink glaze. Another is the ‘Romeo and Juliet’ made with mango sable, lemon dacquoise, mango jelly, lychee mousse, and mango cream.
For a more deeper sweetness, the ‘Mi Amor Brownies’ is a lush experience of almond brownie, vanilla cream, raspberry vanilla jelly, salted caramel, and ivory glaze combination. The bakery offers many gift-able sweets perfect for your loved ones with that unsatiable sweet tooth. One of which is the box Pralines with 9 uniquely made treats that includes dark chocolate with milk chocolate ganache, fleur de sel caramel and 70% dark couverture, red chocolate with matcha green tea ganache coated with white couverture, and milk chocolate with crispy praline hazelnuts and coated with milk couverture. That’s a lot of sweets but you can never go too sweet on Valentine’s Day, right? All of these chocolate creations are available until February 15.
