The Dreamy Romance of Marry Me At Marriott - Uncategorized

This year’s edition of Marry Me At Marriott was all about the pure bliss of a dreamy romance. The gala has become an annual tradition held in Marriott Hotel Manila as it showcases the bridal collections of the country’s top fashion designers.

Attendees of the gala were treated to a sensory treat of wedding fashions from four of today’s best bridal wear creators. This year’s line-up featured Mark Bumgarner, Francis Libiran, Ryan Madamba, and Cary Santiago.

Top fashion model Joey Mead walked for Mark Bumgarner. The contemporary bridal creation that didn’t have a glitter of beadwork nor a stitch of embroidery in sight instead showed folds and folds of rich fabric that exhibited Mark Bumgarner’s tasteful restraint.

For his segment, Francis Libiran married the red carpet with the catwalk. He had movie star Arci Muñoz and beauty queen Venus Raj in gowns that had his trademark style made up of fans, folds, curves, and curlicues.

Ryan Madamba’s muses Rocio Olbes and Tricia Centenera looked like romantic brides of today as they glided out of ornate wrought-iron gates. Their wedding gowns showed the designer’s dramatic yet modern flair. Ryan shared, “For me, the modern woman is one who is very confident of herself and what she is. She doesn’t need a lot of adornment. She just wants to stand out on her own. That’s the kind of bride that I had in mind.”

Cary Santiago showed only three stunning wedding dresses to close the night’s fashion show. It was divinity in the details. It was Cary in classic yet contemporary form. And if that left everyone wanting for more, we got word that Cary may be the only designer featured for next year’s edition. We’ll wait for that dreamy romance to come true once again.
