MGallery Celebrates Mixology By Presenting World Cocktail Month

MGallery prepared an exciting line-up of activities and showcases that bring the best of mixology to guests across the country.

It was an event celebrated at MGallery Hotel Collection brand’s more than 120 boutique hotels all around the world that began on May 13th – World Cocktail Day – and running until June 13th, MGallery will showcase the art of mixology. All of the brand’s establishments will proudly bear the colors of World Cocktail Month. This international event will include local activations as well as an impressive cocktail list.

Hotel bars as places of life and social gatherings and as preferred meeting spots for creatives from around the world, MGallery hotel bars attract both travelers and locals alike. Here, mixology resonates with this inspiring dynamic, embodied by mixologists trained over a period of six months to one year. Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery’s speakeasy Ruby Wong’s held an intimate get-together for the occasion.

Ten Unprecedented Creations

For the occasion, the mixologist Matthias Giroud has concocted a collection of ten cocktails and mocktails, each echoing a key MGallery destination through its flavors and presentation:

●  The Symphony of Sydney Opera (Australia), a nod to the famous building by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon

●  The Brazilian Rainforest, in colors like those of the lush rainforest

●  The Chinese Elixir (mocktail) with a bamboo leaf that curves like the Great Wall of China

●  The Love Letter from Provence (France), spritzed with lavender

●  The Italian Limonaia, garnished with an ice cube that leans like the Tower of Pisa (Italy)

●  The Moroccan Oasis (mocktail), inspired by the dunes of the Sahara (Morocco)

●  The Polish Harvest, a reference to the geometric rooftops of the Main Square in Kraków (Poland)

●  The Sunfire in Thailand, reflecting various graphic elements of the Grand Palace of Bangkok (Thailand)

●  The Cappadocian Lantern (mocktail), featuring colorful ice spheres in the spirit of Turkish hot air balloons

●  The Folk tale of the Mekong (mocktail), served in a glass adorned with bamboo like the one that grows along the banks of this Vietnamese river

The head mixologist – the founder of the L’Alchimiste, a company that creates mixology experiences – presents these masterpieces to discover within all MGallery hotel bars until June 13th.

Events to Enjoy Together

Each week, MGallery hotels will hold events to celebrate World Cocktail Month. Local guests and travelers may opt for masterclasses. During these two-hour workshops, mixologists will share their passion as they teach the participants to create at least two cocktails. Mocktails will also be showcased during a special week aiming to encourage the discovery of new flavors and sophisticated creations, even without alcohol.

The hotels’ restaurants will also offer food-cocktail pairings. Mixologists worked hand-in-hand with chefs to create this bespoke menu. They seized the opportunity to highlight local ingredients, in the cocktails and mocktails as well as in the dishes. Numerous events have punctuated and will continue to punctuate the festivities. The Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery (Philippines) had two days filled with discoveries with guests enjoying cocktails in the hotel’s presidential suite one day before embarking on a vintage car tour of the old town the next day. World Cocktail Month will then conclude with an event at The Bodrum Hotel Yalikavak, a MGallery establishment in Turkey.

A Sustainable Approach

This World Cocktail Month is also an opportunity to anchor MGallery in a responsible approach, even behind the bar. Zero-waste mixology will be introduced, with precise recommendations: using whole products, reducing packaging, composting organic waste, prioritizing local and seasonal ingredients. It is worth noting that the recipes for MGallery’s signature cocktails are now all redesigned and reworked, and will soon be composed of at least 40% local alcohol. Additionally, the brand encourages “creative” recycling: powders, shavings, and peels are reused in other recipes.

Celebrate World Cocktail Month at The Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery located at 2138 Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila.
