Broadway Sensation

In a statement, producer Cameron Mackintosh expressed his sheer excitement, saying, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing my spectacular new production of Miss Saigon to Manila.”

He went on to describe it as the “best production of Saigon” he has ever produced, with an exceptionally talented cast that’s sure to leave you in awe.

In his own words, “I can’t envisage another show of this scale being done in Manila for the foreseeable future.”

Miss Saigon will grace the Theater at Solaire, which recently hosted the award-winning musical, Hamilton, in the Philippines.

This connection runs deep, as the musical has served as a launching pad for Filipino artists like Lea Salonga, Jon Jon Briones, Joanna Ampil, and Rachelle Ann Go, allowing them to showcase their immense talents and passion.

Lea Salonga spent the first half of 1999 returning to the role that made her famous: Kim in Miss Saigon. She originated the part more than ten years ago in London and then on Broadway, but she's not done with it yet; she'll spend the latter part of 2000 as Kim once more.
