Here’s everything that Apple announced at its latest conference.
Apple has announced several software updates and some new hardware on the first day of its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2022.
During the conference held from June 6 to 10, Apple will provide a first look into its latest platforms and technologies.
Here are all the highlights of the WWDC 2022, namely the MacBook Air, 13‑Inch MacBook Pro, iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, and watchOS 9.
MacBook Air
The new MacBook Air is redesigned around the next-generation M2 chip, with its thin build measuring only 1.13 centimeters and weighing 1.24 kilograms. The M2 chip promises performance that is 1.4 times faster than its M1 predecessor and 15 times faster than an Intel-based model.
This device features a Liquid Retina display, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, four-speaker sound system, and up to 18 hours of battery life.
iOS 16
The operating system update allows users to personalize their lock screen with photos, customized widgets, and how they receive notifications. Users of iOS 16 can also create a shared photo library, as well as edit and unsend messages, among other new features.
macOS Ventura
The macOS Ventura makes moving between tasks more organized with Stage Manager, FaceTime calls more easily transferrable from one device to another, and enables one’s iPhone to become their Mac webcam through Continuity Camera.
iPadOS 16
The iPadOS16 allows connection to an external display, drag-and-drop of files between devices, and switching between multiple overlapping apps with Stage Manager.
watchOS 9
The watchOS9 packs additional features for the Workout app, a new Medications app, improved insights into sleep health, and more personalization options.
